About GIACC-UK

GIACC-UK was formed in April 2024 to promote the objectives of GIACC-International in the United Kingdom.  It is an Affiliate of GIACC-International and is a not-for-profit organisation.

GIACC’s objectives are to:

  • raise awareness of corruption and its impact
  • develop and publish free resources which assist in understanding, minimising and dealing with corruption
  • promote the implementation of effective anti-corruption measures by governments, public and private sector organisations.

GIACC interprets “corruption” as an umbrella term which includes the criminal offences of bribery, extortion, fraud, cartels, abuse of power, embezzlement and money laundering.

GIACC believes that corruption can only be minimised and dealt with if both public and private sector organisations implement effective anti-corruption measures as a necessary and core part of their day-to-day corporate, procurement and project management.

GIACC’s anti-corruption resources are applicable to all sectors, with primary focus on engineering, construction and infrastructure activities worldwide.

So as to maintain its independence, GIACC does not undertake consulting work or investigate or report on allegations of corruption.
